One of the things the hubby wanted to do (surprisingly) was the 4D ultrasound of our Little Babe π€°π»
At 33 weeks, I booked our 4D ultrasound appointment and we got to see our little clay baby πΆπ» ~ mission accomplished!
WHAT IS A 3D ULTRASOUND?
The 3D ultrasound is the black and white version you usually see at the OB-GYN appointments.
WHAT IS A 4D ULTRASOUND?
The 4D ultrasound is the more multi-dimensional image where it's more clay like (hence why I call these my "clay baby" photos!)
WHEN TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT:
It is recommended to do the 4D ultrasound between 28 - 32 weeks of pregnancy. We did ours kind of late at 33 weeks so our baby girl was closer to the placenta which makes it harder to capture images of her since she's kind of "smooshed" in there.
We got the basic 4D ultrasound package "3D/4D My Precious One" for $109 + tax that included:
* 15 minutes ultrasound session
* listen to baby's heartbeat (sound not recorded - but can purchase this for $20 additional which we did)
* up to 50 images emailed upon request (they no longer provide CD of images or DVD of session)
* 8 glossy 3x5 color printed images
WHERE WE BOOKED OUR 4D ULTRASOUND APPOINTMENT AND WHY:
Cherished Memories at Cerritos Mall (they also have a location in Downey). What I like about going back to same place (they actually moved location inside the mall) is that you can have 10+ people joining you and they have a big screen to view your ultrasound experience. There were other places that has less seating - which is fine if you want it more intimate (and, really, just the hubby joined me at first - and then my sister last time when I had to go back again 2nd time because Kai was sleeping when it was me & the hubby).
Have you booked a 4D ultrasound appointment? Or have you done this yet?
I'm so glad the hubby wanted to do this so we can have these fun memories of her where we try to guess who she looks more like. What's your guess??
As always, thanks for reading and sending you air hugs!
