Calling all my local foodies...
Starting today, Newport Beach Restaurant Week will be in full swing. If you've ever wanted to try some of those popular Newport Beach restaurants, now is the time! This past Thursday I was invited to the media preview night at the beautiful Balboa Bay Resort (my first time there!) during sunset to get a glimpse of what's going to be released. With over 60 local restaurants participating, you know it's going to be good. There was even a special appearance from Mayor Diane Dixxon to welcome the Newport Beach restaurants for participating in Restaurant Week. Fresh sashimi from Sushi Roku, braised short ribs from Waterline, clam chowder from Fig & Olive, and ahi burgers from Lighthouse were among some of the media favorites from the night. Let's not forget the champagne, wine, and specialty cocktails. Of course, we had to also take some pictures at the photo booth - that's a must. Check out all the participating Newport Beach restaurants HERE. Newport Beach Restaurant Week 2016 will be going on from Monday, January 18th-Sunday, January 31st with special prix fixe lunch and dinner menus ranging from $10-$50. Now you have no excuse to dine Newport Beach. Go go go and get some!
***THANKS to Wagstaff Worldwide and the Dine Newport Beach team for such a tasty event!
Which restaurant are you curious to try? If you haven't tried Sushi Roku, you need to stat. Their albacore with crispy onions was oh-so-good, I went back for more and more after that! And bonus? It IS a part of their Newport Beach Restaurant Week 2016 special so check it out.
{FOOD TIP: Make a restaurant reservation in advance because it's going to get busy fast!}
