Move over little black dress and make way for the little red dress...
What exactly is the little red dress, you ask? Well February happens to be American Heart Month and, although it is March now (oops, sorry for the delay but it was super busy last month!), this cause should be shared every month. The little red dress is a symbol to remind women about heart disease awareness. For a limited time in February, Macy's created a Go Red For Women collection with their Ideology activewear brand featuring 8 exclusive pieces where a portion of sales went to the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement (more details HERE). Unfortunately majority of the items are no longer available but I was lucky enough to get my hands on this "Working Out for My Little Red Dress" t-shirt (thanks Ari!). It's a positive message and a friendly reminder for all of us to check our heart health. So what are you doing? Get moving and more active, starting today!
Interesting fact: Did you know that heart disease is the #1 leading cause of death for both men and women in the U.S.? Yes, surprisingly it is that common for both genders so we should all be aware of it and share this info with others. Some ways to help lower the risk of heart disease and more info on American Heart Month can be found HERE.
{FASHION TIP: Take your tees from day to night by throwing on a sparkling statement necklace.}
