TRAVEL / PHOTO DIARY :: Puerto Rico Birthday/Graduation Vacation [Part 2]





Part 1 of my Puerto Rico trip (HERE) was a great start to the vacay but Part 2 is what I miss the most...

 

[DAY 3] In the wee hours of the morning, we took a ferry to Culebra Island to see the famous Flamenco Beach aka the third most beautiful beach in the world. We basically spent the whole day here. I mean, why would you not right?


Then we caught the sunset on the ferry back from Culebra Island to Puerto Rico (more beach pics HERE).

[DAY 4] Did a little bit of exploring and got a history lesson at one of the nearby museums. It was so crazy and surreal to be standing where people used to live. The hut was about the size of my bedroom - wow. We are definitely very fortunate now with everything we have.

Had an ice cream pit stop at King's Cream in Ponce (it was the local's faves) and omg it was delicious! I got the almond and coconut flavors and it was quite refreshing.


One of the best spots in town is the Beach House - great food, live music at night (on the weekends), and amazing owners! We had such a blast at this little gem down the street from our house.


 We ordered this steak and pasta dish at the Beach House and it was my favorite thing I ate all week long. It was so flavorful with a hint of spicy. Mmm. If I could, I would've packed some to-go and bring it back with me to the U.S. - darn!


[DAY 5] Tried vegan waffles for the first time at The Breakfast Club at Ola Lola's near Shacks Beach and it wasn't too bad. Kind of reminded me what wheat waffles would taste like.

Was excited to finally take my neon Beach Riot bikini out to play!

 Did some snorkeling at Shacks Beach with the clear blue waters. We saw some sea urchins and lots of fishes. I finally took my GoPro out to play and can't wait to see what's on it later. ;)

 

I'm so glad we hung out at the beach on our last day. It was the perfect way to end our trip.
