IMD Fashion Event

Last semester I had the privilege of being a part of SAC's fashion department and putting together a fashion show unlike no other. Every year, SAC's fashion department organizes a fashion show but last semester was different. The usual glitz and glam were put aside to concentrate more on an economical cause: helping women of our community to get the job by looking the part.

The Interview Makeover Day (IMD) took place at Main Place Mall, Santa Ana, CA on Friday, May 14, 2010. Over 30 recipients received complimentary makeovers and personal styling. The event could not happen without the support of Hair California Beauty Academy, Macy's, Sephora, and the El Salvador Community Center. I was so proud of all of us, especially the SAC fashion department because we thought of the idea and made the event possible.
